Hi,
My dad, George Dunlop used to be part of your group and built many outside items there at the field. He passed away 15 years ago on April 12. My husband and I will be visiting my mom in Florida and would like to drop by the field. Can someone get back to me on where the field is and what day is good to see people flying their planes. At the time my dad died, the group also created a plaque listing his name. Do you still keep that up? Please contact me in the next couple days, we will be coming down to Florida this sunday. Thanks, Kim

I also saw your situation in the Propwash online publication. It's a shame people are the way they are.
Good luck in your fight.

Saw the story of your field dilemma on "Propwash". Too bad, but unfortunately more and more common. Good luck.

Read about your problem with the city people moving to the country and placing restrictions on your flying field . The "ME" and "Them" people we call them out here. They move to the COunty ,destroy the open space and then it's all about them and what me wants. Our problem is Dell Webb's Sun City and the Austin Commuters. Sun City residents want the place just like the "hole" they moved from with nice roads and convenient shopping. The commuters want new roads, schools, shopping and then dump their cars, kids, dogs and cats on us country folk. Anyway the flying field here has moved at least 3 times in 25 years because of outsiders and development. Good luck.

Just dropping by to see what Carl R. is up to these days. We've had him at our field up until the weather got cold - then for some reason he flew south with the birds.

We just attended, as spectators, our first event on Sat. 3/31 and throughly enjoyed it. What a wonderful group you folks have. We originally thought we would come for a couple of hours, but we stayed all day, we enjoyed it so much!
We had the pleasure to meet Jim Conley, who was most gracious in talking with my husband, John, who was a P-47, P-51 & P-40 pilot in WWII and Korea. John really enjoyed seeing Jim's P-47 flying.
We look forward to learning more about your group and attending more "fly-ins"
